The teams that want this video fall into a few groups: humanoid robot makers, cleaning-robot makers and AI labs building world models. They look for hands in view, real tasks, lots of different places and clear permission from the people on camera.
The kinds of teams
- Humanoid robot makers. They build robots shaped like people, with two arms and hands, meant to do many jobs.
- Cleaning-robot makers. Some build floor scrubbers and vacuums. Others are working on robots that could take on more of the job.
- AI labs building world models and vision-language-action models. They need huge amounts of real video to train on.
What the market looks like
Figure, a humanoid robot company, runs an app called Index that pays people by the minute to record their tasks. In August 2026 it said more than 44,000 people use the app each week and that it had paid them $15 million so far. Cleaning is one of the tasks it lists.

What they look for
- Hands in view: the full palm and all fingers when handling things
- Real tasks at a normal pace, like pulling trash or wiping a sink that is actually dirty
- Many different places: offices, schools, clinics, warehouses
- Clear permission: everyone in the recording agreed to be recorded during their job
